I have been interested in the period of 43-125 AD for as
long as I can remember. I am of Scottish heritage and
have enjoyed being involved in Roman (LEG IX HISPANA)
living history. I don't have many items in my collection yet -
only a checked wool tunic and linen pants; shoes are next
on my list. I chose Rianorix because it was the closest to
my real name that I could find. Though the meaning is
unknown, it was found in an inscription on a tombstone at
Aluana fort (a Roman fort and western extention of Hadrian's Wall) at present day Maryport Cumbria with building inscriptions dating to the first and second centuries.
